Philippines: Chinese, Philippine Coastguards Trade Ramming Accusations

China and the Philippines traded accusations on Sunday over a crash on Saturday between two coast guard vessels in the South China Sea. Footage shows the Chinese and Philippine ships ramming into one another near Sabina Shoal, an uninhabited atoll claimed by both nations, Vietnam and Taiwan.
Manila said the Chinese Coast Guard vessel deliberately rammed the Philippine ship three times, while the China Coast Guard said the Philippine coastguards had “illegally…weighed anchor and continued to manoeuvre and provoke trouble".
