Bargain hunters looted stores during a shopping mall's discount flash sale in Pakistan.

Hundreds of customers gathered outside the Dream Bazaar in Karachi for the grand opening promotions on clothes and homeware accessories.

But chaos ensued when a mob formed among the crowd holding long sticks and forced their way into the stores on August 30.

Footage shows the men entering the stores and picking out shirts and pants hanging from racks. Some of them were seen with kids.

Piles of clothes were scattered inside the store after the mob had been driven out of the establishment.

The mall management later said in a statement: ‘The managers of the building and the shop owners didn't expect such chaos.'

The store opened at 3 pm, and only thirty minutes later, almost all the items were gone.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
