USA: Santa Paula Fatal Rollover on 126 Freeway

09/01/2024 02:57 am (GMT-0700) | SANTA PAULA, Calif. – CHP Ventura, Ventura County and City Fire Departments responded to reports of a solo-vehicle rollover on the eastbound 126 Freeway at the Briggs Road off-ramp.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they located a Volkswagen hatchback with major damage.
The vehicle appeared to have lost control in lanes and veered off onto the off-ramp before striking a light pole and rolling over before landing right side up next to a tree.
The sole occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph prior to the crash, per CHP at the scene off-camera.
