09/01/2024 11:05 pm (GMT-0700) | BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CHP responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision that left the victim deceased at South Union and White Lane.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was cooperating with authorities.
The driver told Key News Network that a homeless person was pushing a shopping cart across the center median, and he tried to avoid him, but it was too late.
