Dindigul: In a thrilling display of agility and endurance, a young man named Kumaresan from Koovanoothu Budoor area emerged victorious in the 55-feet tall slippery pole climbing competition held near Dindigul as part of the Muthalamman temple festival.

The competition, held once every five years, drew enthusiastic participants who vied with each other to climb the towering bald tree. Kumaresan, however, outshone them all, scaling the tree in an impressive two hours and claiming the top prize by removing the prize knot from the summit.

The event, which forms a highlight of the temple festival, showcases the physical prowess and determination of local youth. Kumaresan's remarkable feat has earned him accolades and recognition, cementing his position as a champion in this unique and challenging competition.
