"I'm now at the Yinxu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The oracle bone script discovered (here) from the Shang Dynasty (1600 B.C.-1046 B.C.) is the oldest writing system in China and has evolved into the Chinese characters we use today. (This is) the character for 'cloud,' yun (pronunciation in Chinese): the horizontal line at the top stands for the sky, while the curved line below symbolizes the shape of clouds gathering."

"This is YH127, the site where the most oracle bone inscriptions have been discovered. The discovery of YH127 has greatly contributed to the archaeology and the study of ancient Chinese civilization. The discoveries of Yinxu reveal the rich scientific inventions and technological achievements of the late Shang Dynasty."

STANDUP 4 (English): HYOSUN LEE, Teacher with Anyang Normal University
"This is the new building of the Yinxu Museum. They say there are over 4,000 treasures housed here. Let's go inside and check it out! My favorite is the 'Simuxin Ding' (an ancient bronze cauldron). It was discovered in the tomb of Lady Fuhao at Yinxu, with the inscriptions 'Simuxin' on its inner wall. Lady Fuhao was a general, queen and mother, embodying multiple roles. And I deeply admire her for that. In addition to the many treasures, you can also enjoy the digital technology here. Besides the Yinxu, Anyang also has many cultural and historical sites such as the Wenfeng Pagoda and the Cao Cao (a prominent historical figure in China) Mausoleum. I warmly invite everyone to visit Anyang!"
