This is the terrifying moment fairgoers were stuck at the top of the region's tallest amusement ride in Russia.

An unexpected power surge in the local electrical grid brought an evening of fun to a sudden halt for 36 thrill-seekers as the 'Seventh Heaven' ride came to a standstill at a park in Volgograd.

Emergency services from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) arrived promptly to assist in the rescue operation. Using an auto-ladder lift, they successfully rescued two individuals who required immediate assistance.

After confirming the ride's stability, park technicians restarted the attraction, allowing the remaining passengers to descend safely.

This incident follows a similar event on June 16, when another group of visitors in Nalchik City was rescued from a malfunctioning park swing attraction due to a technical issue.
