STORYLINE:

Zambian artist Edward Chabu and his team have been dazzling audiences in China's Zhongwei with daily African-style performances since May, fostering cultural exchange amid stunning desert views.

"Hi, everyone. My name is Edward and I'm with my friends. I'm going to quickly introduce them. This is Charity, Esnart, Faless, Joshua, Nathan, Kawewe, and John. And together we are from Zambia. Now we came from different groups, and then we came here to form this group. It's a national dance group.
So we've been here for four months, and then we'll be here for six months. So we normally perform every day. Every day in the evenings, we encourage people to come here and watch us do the performances from Zambia.
This place is beautiful. It has got nice desert scenery. In the evenings when it's dark, people come and watch the stars. The food is nice. Chinese food is nice. We normally come here, have fun, ride the camels and, a lot."

"We enjoy it because it's a new experience. At least we are learning a new language, a new lifestyle of the Chinese people. As you know, Chinese people have been very good to Africans."

"My life here is a new experience because we don't have deserts in Zambia. So it's a new experience for me. And I can share it with my Zambian people when I go back home. And the Chinese food is nice, especially Chinese noodles."

"Zambia and China have shared a lot of good relationships since 1964. This year, Zambia and China are going to be celebrating 60 years of good relationship. China helped Zambia to build the Tazara railway line and we are here just to showcase our cultural heritage that we have in Zambia and we are sharing this together with the Chinese people."
