This is the moment residents scream in terror when they find a large snake suddenly appearing in the kitchen.


A crowd of what appeared to be children and elderly neighbours stood at the entrance to the kitchen in the city of Zhaotong in Yunnan, China, On August 22.

After the shock, people ran away from the kitchen, and one terrified woman grabbed a woman near her as a man came speeding out of the kitchen backwards, pulling the large snake by its tail.

Worried that it would catch up with him, he swung it over his head and smashed it onto the ground, apparently trying to knock it senseless, before disappearing off camera and continuing to pull the snake by its tail.

It is unclear what happened to the reptile after the man disappeared off camera, but according to local officials, nobody was bitten.

It was not revealed what type of snake it was.
