A decommissioned Thai warship was sunk to turn into artificial coral reefs and diving spot.

Footage shows the sinking ceremony of patrol warship Tor.95 off the coast of Koh Chuang island in Chonburi province, Thailand, on September 3.

The Thai Royal Navy commander-in-chief, Admiral Adung Phaniam, presided over the event.

Aside from Tor.95, patrol boat Tor.95 was also sank. Both were part of Tor.91 class patrol boats built between 1967 and 1987 and were decommissioned on 2019.

The warships would become man-made reefs of an underwater learning park.

Officials said the park will serve as a tribute to naval heroes and a new tourist attraction for divers.
