Glass doors shatter in stormy weather as residents attempt to secure panels
This is the terrifying moment residents secured glass doors at a restaurant that was being battered by heavy rain.
Three men were holding the panels of the shop as strong gusts of wind lashed the building in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, on September 2.
CCTV footage shows one of the transparent walls shattering due to the storm, causing the shards to hit one of the workers. This prompted the two individuals who were holding the doors to retreat from the glass.
Moments later, all the glass panels collapsed, striking a customer as he was running away.
The country has been experiencing heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, leading to scattered flooding in some regions.
