A teenager being chased by dogs rushed back into a building and broke the glass door when he slammed it and swung it open.

Aniket Jaiswal, 15, walked out of the entrance with a ball to play, but only seconds later, he was seen dashing back inside as the canines were running after him in Uttar Pradesh, India.

CCTV footage shows Aniket barging through the entrance and pushing the door to flee from the dogs on September 1.

He escaped unscathed but the glass shattered behind him when it hit the concrete wall.

Aniket's parents urged local authorities to implement safety measures to fix the stray dog issue in their community.

They said more than 50 stray dogs often roam the streets around the building and they often come into conflict with residents.

India has one of the largest populations of stray dogs in the world, estimated to be around 35-40 million. These dogs often live in urban and semi-urban areas, relying on human communities for food and shelter.
