STORYLINE:

The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) has achieved complete success with fruitful results.

Bilateral relations between China and all African countries having diplomatic ties with China have been elevated to the level of strategic relations.

The overall characterization of China-Africa relations has been elevated to an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era.

Six major proposals to advance China-Africa modernization have been put forward.

Ten partnership actions for modernization to deepen China-Africa cooperation for the next three years have also been announced.

"We are very satisfied with China-Africa cooperation. It (the FOCAC summit) is a place for dialogue. Throughout FOCAC, there are discussions at multiple levels.
China has what Africa needs, and Africa has what China needs. We also need inter-African infrastructure, and what China is doing is important because China is supporting integration by developing not only roads but also railways. Rail transport is essential for integration because people will be able to move around and goods will be able to circulate.
So, cooperation is not only between countries but also supports African integration. We have been working with our Chinese brothers and sisters, and we believe it's a significant achievement for humanity."

"These action plans are very clear for Africa, and it's a win-win towards African interests and towards China's interests in trade, in industries, in helping the youth, in helping women, in agriculture and everywhere."

"This is an opportunity for Africa to showcase itself and also foster the relationship between Africa and China in terms of infrastructure development, economic development and social development.
We expect a lot of exchange programs economically, socially, and also culturally. China happens to be the greatest partner of Nigeria in terms of foreign trade, and we want to further, you know, establish this relationship."
