A caravan of thirsty wild camels staged a highway robbery - holding up a truck driver to steal water.

The animals galloped over and blocked the door to the vehicle as it drove along a dusty road in Xinjiang, a region in China mainly consisting of deserts and dry grasslands, on August 23.

The kind-hearted driver set down a bowl of water for the camels, who quickly drank it. Despite his efforts to keep filling the bowl from his container, the camels consumed the water and refused to move.

The amusing video shows a woman pointing her finger at the camels and demanding they move when one of the beasts shakes its head, indicating that it is not planning on going anywhere.

She insists that the bowl they had just drunk was the last they would get, but it had little impression.

When the truck driver and the woman finally left, the camels stood there, seemingly saying goodbye and 'thank you' for the water.
