The visit of the leader of world Catholics and Head of State of the Vatican, Pope Francis, was only short.
Pope Francis stopped the car to bless a pregnant woman who was waiting to arrive at the Istiqlal Mosque and Cathedral Church area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday 5 September 2024.
The video shows a pregnant woman immediately approaching Pope Francis' passing car.
The car stopped and the Pope immediately invited the pregnant woman to talk while stroking her stomach.
Pope Francis even asked when the baby would be born and what his name would be.
"Pope, please bless my son," Greg said.
"When was he born?" asked Pope Francis.
"Next week," Greg answered.
After giving the blessing, the Pope took out a brown wallet containing a rosary for the baby named Cecilia. With trembling voices and full of happy smiles, Veronica Intan and Gregorius never stopped expressing their gratitude.
