USA: Sherman Oaks Power Outage Affects Multiple Residents

LAFD from Van Nuys responded to a residential fire call on the 4300 block of Fulton Avenue. Arriving fire department personnel requested additional engines and ladders to check the rooftop of the three-story building.
They found no fire, but a resident from the building mentioned off-camera that around 7:00 p.m., they heard a loud explosion, which might have been a transformer explosion in the area.
She added that the entire block had no electricity and that most residents were sitting inside their vehicles with the air conditioner on.
Water and power crews were at the scene assessing the situation, and it was unknown how long the power would be out.
