As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, festive decorations and mooncake sales are in full swing across Shanghai and Zhejiang.

In Shanghai's Yuyuan Garden, a dazzling display of lanterns featuring moon-themed designs has created a vibrant atmosphere, drawing large crowds of visitors to the historic site.

"I love the big moon lantern. With the Mid-Autumn Festival just around the corner, my child really feels the festive vibe, especially with the ancient city backdrop. The lights at night are truly beautiful," a tourist said.

Meanwhile in Zhejiang's Wenzhou City, local bakeries, especially time-honored brands, are introducing innovative fillings, flavors, and packaging of moon cakes to attract customers seeking both nostalgia and novelty.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a significant traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the night when the moon reaches its fullest and brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese lunar calendar.

During the festival, family members would come together, share mooncakes while admiring the moon, and light up lanterns to enjoy the happiness of family reunion.
