Iconic Capital One tower demolished in Lake Charles 4 years after Hurricane Laura devastation
Over four decades of glory vanished in seconds as the Capital One tower was finally brought down via a planned implosion.
"The Capital One tower in Lake Charles was a landmark destroyed by Hurricane Laura on August 27, 2020," the filmer, Haley, told WooGlobe. "Four years later, on September 7, 2024, the tower was imploded with thousands of locals witnessing the emotional event."
Haley captured the moment the 22-story building crumbled into rubble, followed by a massive cloud of dust.
"And just like that, the Capital One building was officially gone," she added.
