A trash balloon sent from North Korea was found in neighbouring Seoul this week.

Footage shows a garbage bag attached to two large white inflatables lying on the ground in the capital city on September 7.

Hermit kingdom North Korea has been sending what they call 'gifts of sincerity' in propaganda stunts since May, with a total of more than 6,000 trash bags now landing in their southern neighbour's territory. Communist chiefs claim it is in response to South Korean attempts to send 'capitalist propaganda' into the country, including 'ear grating' K pop songs.

The containers have included traces of fertiliser, batteries, cigarette butts, clothes, soil, plastic bottles, toilet paper, wastepaper, and vinyl. Some have even carried torn clothes and parasites from human faeces mixed with soil.

Authorities in the South have deployed military explosive units and chemical and biological warfare teams to examine some of the items. They reported that no dangerous chemicals or compounds were found in the trash.

Incheon International Airport, the third busiest in the country, has also reported flight delays due to the swarms of trash balloons.
