Russia: Russian And Chinese Warships Gather In Sea Of Japan For Joint Exercises
Primorsky Krai, Russia - September 10, 2024
These images reportedly show Russian and Chinese warships gathering in a bay in the Sea of Japan for Joint Okean-2024 Strategic Exercise.
The footage, released by the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), shows a Russian warship at sea and a naval officer liaising over a phone with another sailor before the images cut to a number of other vessels in the distance.
The video then shows some of the other vessels up close as they approach and enter the bay.
The images were obtained from the Russian MoD on Tuesday, 10th September, along with a statement claiming: "Russian Navy and Chinese Navy Warships Meet in Peter the Great Bay for Joint Participation in the 'Ocean-2024 ' Command and Staff Exercises."
The Peter the Great Gulf is located on the southern coast of Primorsky Krai, in far eastern Russia, and is the largest gulf of the Sea of Japan.
