Abandoned Hertz Tower imploded in Lake Charles, Louisiana
On September 7, 2024, @harleygal1991 shared a video of the abandoned 22-story Hertz Tower in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA, being demolished in a controlled implosion. Once a prominent symbol in the city, the building had been vacant for nearly four years after being heavily damaged by hurricanes Laura and Delta. The demolition was carried out by a crew who set off a series of explosions inside the tower, causing it to collapse into a large dust cloud and pile of debris.
