This is the terrifying moment condo windows were ripped out by a typhoon in Vietnam.

Qianyan Mianyu watched in horror as the glass panes were shattered by strong gusts of wind in Ha Long Bay on September 7.

Footage shows the windows plunging onto the coffee table in the living room, breaking a water glass, and hitting other items on the furniture.

Super Typhoon Yagi battered the country, displacing thousands of families and killing at least 141 people.

The storm, with sustained winds of 234 km/h (145 mph), is recorded as the world's second-most powerful tropical cyclone this year, after Category 5 Atlantic Hurricane Beryl.

Authorities have advised residents to remain vigilant and evacuate if necessary.
