SOUNDBITE (English): REN JING, Senior Vice President, Schneider Electric
"The expanding of Jinshan Innovation Laboratory Park was a major move taken by Schneider Electric to enhance R&D and innovation here in China. After a range of upgrades, the new campus is now able to provide a faster response speed with respect to development and testing, and to shorten the development cycle of new products from concept to market. It will also further improve our ability to respond to the new needs in the marketplace.
With the fast growth of the Chinese economy, innovation has become a new engine driving China's economic growth. Meanwhile, the Chinese market is huge with various application scenarios and active innovators. The Chinese market provides the best test field for the innovation of foreign and international companies. Today, China has become one of the four global R&D hubs of Schneider Electric. And China provides an important source and support of innovation for us globally. Following the China-hub strategy, Schneider Electric has created an agile mechanism encompassing development, manufacturing, commercialization. This allows us to be better-positioned to get closer to the Chinese market faster."
