Heroic passersby rescue 3, including child, after electric car loses control and bursts into flames after crash in China
At 9:19 am on September 11, in Yutian County, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, a blue electric car suddenly lost control while driving, crashed at high speed into a roadside flowerbed, and then caught fire, creating a dangerous situation.
Surveillance footage shows that after colliding with the flowerbed, the electric car spun out and hit a white vehicle parked by the roadside. Soon after, the electric car began emitting thick smoke and quickly caught fire.
The driver of the white vehicle, upon noticing the fire, quickly drove away from the scene to ensure their safety. However, after confirming their own safety, the driver bravely returned to the scene to help with the rescue. Nearby residents, local officials, and passersby also grabbed fire extinguishers and worked together to put out the fire and attempt to rescue the passengers trapped inside the car.
Thanks to the combined efforts of everyone, three passengers (including a child) were eventually rescued from the vehicle. They were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment and were found to be unharmed. However, the electric car was almost entirely reduced to a shell after the fire, resulting in significant damage.
After the accident, the local fire department quickly arrived on the scene to handle the burning electric car and prevent the fire from spreading further.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
