This video was taken in the car after picking my daughter up from school and surprised her with a new baby bearded dragon after my daughter’s other dragon passed away a couple days before. Little back story. My daughter has been through a ton of difficult situations throughout her life. She’s never had a consistent relationship with her dad although she has begged and she’s been by my side through everything I’ve been through as well. I had her when I was 19 and life has truly been a struggle ever since so we’ve leaned on each other and grew up together through out the years. I had gotten her a bearded dragon during a time that she was going through a lot and Willie had gotten her through so much. If dragons could talk he could have told you her whole life story. After he passed she had been extremely upset for days with non stop crying. Her ex boyfriend found out that Willie died so he reached out to me and asked if he could get her another one because he knew how much Willie had gotten her through. During this call he asked that I don’t let her know it came from him but after a long talk I convinced him that he needed to tell her because she needed to see that if they really wanted to they would. She’s a very grateful kid as you can tell by the video and her reaction to this surprise was so very wholesome. I knew she would be happy but her reaction really touched mine and millions of others hearts. The bearded dragon in the video has been named “squirt” and he’s a great addition to our little family.
