India: Six new Vande Bharat trains to be inaugurated by PM Modi , Villages crazy for inter Vande Bharat train
On 15 September Sunday Prime Minister Narendra Modi, virtually inaugurated six new Vande Bharat Express trains, serving routes in Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
This expansion aims to enhance connectivity and speed up travel for regular passengers, professionals, and students.
The event was originally planned at Jharkhand’s Tatanagar but was moved online because Modi's helicopter could not depart due to poor visibility and adverse weather conditions.
The new trains will operate on the following routes: Tatanagar-Patna, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Rourkela-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, Bhagalpur-Howrah, and Gaya-Howrah.
The Ministry of Railways posted on social media about the event, noting that Tatanagar station was decorated for the occasion and that schoolchildren in Gaya, Bihar, welcomed the Gaya-Howrah Vande Bharat Express with enthusiasm.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, the introduction of these trains is expected to improve access to key pilgrimage sites such as Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, and Kalighat and Belur Math in Kolkata.
