Amusing footage of a man ruining his dog's fun with one, simple word.

The video, filmed in Knoxville, TN, USA on March 30, shows the dog tearing away at his owner's sandals, only for the man to bark at him, forcing the cute corgi to stop playing.

The filmer later wrote online: "I wanted to take a break from my graduate school studies and decided to give my corgi, Dug, some much needed attention.

"As Dug got bored playing 'tug of war' with a rope toy, I took out my phone to check some messages."

"As I am checking some emails, I start hearing Dug messing with something, which happened to be my sandals," he continued.

"As Dug is 'viciously' trying to tear my favorite sandals apart, I turned the camera on my phone and said 'Hey' loud enough to get his attention, and it obviously startled him.

"After Dug knew he had been caught, he started acting like he wasn't doing anything and just minding his own business.

"So glad to rescue Dug before he went to the shelter."
