A customer allegedly torched an electric scooter showroom when staff failed to repair his two-wheeler.

Mohammad Nadeem, 26, bought a vehicle from a branch of Ola Electric in Karnataka, India, on August 28 but only two weeks later, he claimed the unit had stopped running.

Nadeem allegedly returned to the sellers to ask for help but felt the staff had been neglecting him.

Frustrated with the bad after-sales service, Nadeem allegedly bought petrol which he poured around the property before setting it on fire.

Footage shows the Ola Electric showroom with thick, black smoke coming out on September 10. The vehicles displayed at the front were burning while onlookers gathered outside.

The blaze destroyed six electric scooters. Authorities launched an investigation into the fire incident.

Ola Electric is an Indian electric vehicle (EV) company founded in 2017 that develops and manufactures scooters.
