On Sunday, New Zealand's Victoria University of Wellington held a Mid-Autumn Festival concert featuring a mixture of traditional Chinese folk instruments and Western instruments.
The concert was performed by students from Victoria University's School of Music and young musicians from the Wellington Young Musicians Association.
The performers played Chinese instruments such as flute, ruan, guzheng and erhu, as well as Western instruments such as cello and violin.
Traditional music pieces from China and New Zealand provided the audience with an innovative audio-visual spectacle.
The concert was supported by the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand and by China cultural centers in Wellington.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival, is marked by a full moon and is one of the most important Chinese days for family reunion and happiness.
