This is the dramatic moment a landslide crashes down a mountain, forcing a major road closure in India following heavy rainfall.
Footage shows a large block of mountain granite sliding down the slope and obstructing the Dharchula-Tawaghat National Highway road near Chaitalkot in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.
Officials said they were working to clear the debris and restore traffic flow on the affected roadway.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said a depression formed over the region and issued a red alert warning for extremely heavy rainfalls in nearby areas such as Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and others over the coming three days.
