A busker played her guitar and sang for tourists at a beach on a Thai holiday island.

Footage shows the entertainer Tong Kaewalin, 17, performing an acoustic rendition of Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk in Phuket, Thailand on September 10.

She had visitors dancing on an open space beside her instrumental set up.

More people gathered around her with some sitting on steps in front of her.

Tong said: ‘My idol is another busker from Ireland, Allie Sherlock. She dropped out of school to do what she loves.'

Now, Tong said she wanted to follow the Irish musician's footprint and is saving to travel and play in other countries.

She said: ‘Aside from singing I can also dance. I am working on fulfilling my dreams now.'

The teenage performer carried her costumes and dances in other tourist spots.

She is homeschooling and hopes to be part of a cultural exchange program to improve her craft.
