SOUNDBITE (English): NAOMI WANJIKU, Student
"This is my first time making mooncakes. I find it very amusing, because I have never done such things before. And I hope that I can get more opportunities to make more of these. I'd also like to try one of these because I have been hearing about it. This is such an awesome experience. I hope many get to try it."
The Mid-Autumn Festival takes place annually on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. This year, the holiday is observed on Sept. 17. It is a time for families to get together, share mooncakes, and watch the full moon.
