STORYLINE:
A ceremony to award the "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship" to 100 Mongolian students from various general educational schools was held in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, on Monday.
The event was attended by Shen Minjuan, Chinese ambassador to Mongolia, Luulai Khosbayar, deputy mayor of Ulan Bator, as well as students and teachers.
In her speech, Shen described Chinese as the "golden key" for understanding China. She highlighted that over 190 countries and regions have introduced Chinese language programs, and 85 countries have incorporated it into their national education systems.

"The establishment of the 'Chinese Ambassador Scholarship' aims to encourage students to improve their Chinese skills and pursue their future aspirations."
Khosbayar noted that Chinese is one of the most widely spoken languages globally. She pointed out that Mongolian students are learning Chinese, one of the six official languages of the United Nations, as a second or third language. Currently, nearly 5,000 students from three national schools and 21 private schools in Ulan Bator are studying Chinese.
The students who received the scholarship expressed their commitment to continuing studying Chinese and contributing to the deepening of cooperation between Mongolia and China across various fields in the future.
