Ferry battered by large waves from Typhoon Bebinca
Ferry passengers held onto their seats as large waves brought by Typhoon Bebinca battered them in the Philippines.
Footage shows the scared tourists looking worried as they sailed along choppy seas in Negros Oriental province on the way to a port on September 15.
Terrified screams could be heard as they felt thuds and bumps while a baby cried.
Despite bad weather, the ship arrived safely without damage, and no one was hurt.
One of the passengers, Jan Anderson Cuadra Suaybaguio, said: ‘We were travelling from an island in Bohol when the waves became bigger as we neared our destination.'
Typhoon Bebinca killed six and displaced tens of thousands in the Philippines.
It left the Southeast Asian country and headed for China, where it made landfall in Shanghai with wind speeds of about 150 km/h (95 mph).
Meteorologists said it has been the most powerful tropical cyclone that has affected the city since 1949.
