This is the moment a ferry was swept away by a fast-flowing river.

Jiravan Sansreemol witnessed the accident when the cargo ship was washed away by the strong current in the Mekong River in Loei, northern Thailand, on September 12.

Footage shows the vessel with two trucks on board crashing into the riverbank. One of the vehicles almost fell off the ship.

No one was harmed in the incident.

The filmer said: 'The water was rising because of the typhoon. It was scary, but we are grateful that no one got hurt.'

Several countries in Southeast Asia and parts of China were affected by Typhoon Yagi, which caused flash floods, severe rainfall, landslides, and power outages, leaving more than 350 dead in Vietnam and at least 225 killed in Myanmar.
