On the evening of September 16, an accident occurred at the Wanda Plaza in Hubin District of Sanmenxia City, central China, during the "Chang 'e Flying to the Moon" performance to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

A female acrobat playing the role of "Chang 'e" (a fairy from ancient Chinese myth) accidentally hit the arm of a crane while performing an aerial "flight to the moon".

Despite the heart-wrenching impact, according to the audience, the acrobat continued to complete the performance after the collision, and her initial situation looked fine.

In response to the accident, Sanmenxia Wanda Plaza said that the wind was strong that night and the performance staff was thin, which caused the accident, but the acrobat was not serious and the whole performance was not affected.
