USA: Bridge Fire Contained 35% After Ravaging Over 54,000 Acres in California

The Bridge Fire, which ignited in the San Gabriel Canyon last week, has consumed more than 54,000 acres, with fire officials reporting a containment level of 35% as of Wednesday morning. This wildfire, which has wreaked havoc across Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties, has led to the destruction of 49 structures, damage to 6 others, and injuries to at least two individuals, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).
Efforts to combat the blaze have been intensified, with over 2,625 personnel, including firefighters, air support, and ground crews, working around the clock to douse hotspots and fortify containment lines. This massive deployment includes 13 helicopters, 203 engines, 21 dozers, 7 water tenders, and 50 additional units.
The fire's most active front has been on its northwest corner, while the northeastern side has encroached towards Lytle Creek's north fork. Although less active, the eastern side poses risks to the residents of Mt. Baldy. Firefighters are maintaining their line at Sunset Peak on the south side.
