This is the fourth earthquake in Feidong County this year. Anhui is affected by the joint action of the Pacific and Indian plates and the east-west compression, which easily leads to northeast-trending and northeast-trending faults. Liangyuan in Feidong is located at the junction of the Tanlu fault in the northeast and the Feidong fault in the near east-west direction. Under the joint action of the stress field, it is prone to frequent small and medium earthquakes.
