An adorable three-legged cat waddled towards his owner who was calling him for lunch.

Footage shows the seven-year-old tabby feline named Mongkol leaving the grass field and running for the food bowl from his caretaker in Pattani Province, Thailand on September 13.

Mongkol slowed down and tried to take a bite from his meal. However, the container was put inside the house so the moggy could eat with his friend.

Pet owner Fareeda Trachoo said: 'I found Mongkol on the street with a family of cats while volunteering. He was just two months old and had an injured leg.

'I decided to adopt him and take him to the vet. The vet said that the best way to treat his condition was to amputate the leg.'
