On Sunday, 15th September 2024, at 12:17 PM, a major dam in Stronie Śląskie, Poland, burst, causing widespread flooding. This footage, captured by a local witness on Dolna Street, shows the terrifying moments shortly after the dam gave way, releasing a torrent of water into the surrounding area.
The catastrophic breach, which happened just minutes before this video was taken, sent massive waves surging downstream, flooding nearby roads and threatening homes and infrastructure. Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to manage the growing crisis, but the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
