A golden retrieve left alone in a van by its owner accidentally released the handbrake seeing the vehicle roll back and injure a child in Shaoyang, Hunan Province.

The canine whilst moving around in the vehicle managed to release the handbrake causing the vehicle to move backwards as a child was moving behind. Fortunately, the child only suffered minor injuries as passersby managed to stop the vehicle.

Nearby vendors and pedestrians rushed over to check on the situation and were stunned to discover the dog driver, bursting into laughter at the scene.

The local traffic police responded to the incident and investigated. It was confirmed that the accident was caused by the dog unintentionally engaging the handbrake, and the truck driver's insurance company would handle the compensation. Fortunately, aside from the minor injury to the boy, no further accidents occurred.
