US: Marina del Rey Multi Million Dollar Yacht Burns Then Sinks With PIO and Witness On Camera

09/19/2024 08:30 pm (GMT-0700) | MARINA DEL REY, Calif. – The Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles County Life Guards and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department responded to a fire on a large yacht located in the area of Basin A in Marina del Rey harbor. Upon arrival, they found the yacht with heavy fire showing. Firefighters attempted to douse the flames, which took over one hour due to possible munitions on board that were exploding. No serious injuries were reported, and everyone safely evacuated from the yacht.
Captain Pono Barnes, Life Guard Services for the LACoFD, and a witness gave statements on camera.
