The San Sebastian International Film Festival, Spain's largest and one of the most prominent in Europe, kicks off its 72nd edition on Friday with nine Chinese productions featured.
Chinese screenwriter Huo Xin makes her directorial debut with "Bound in Heaven," which will compete in the official selection for the prestigious Golden Shell for Best Film award against 21 other international productions.
The film festival is slated to conclude on Sept. 28.
