A baby was carried to safety through the floods from Typhoon Yagi in northern Thailand.

The grandparents carried their nineteen-day-old grandchild out of their flooded house in Lampang near Chiang Mai on September 18.

Footage shows the grandfather holding a tub with the infant sleeping inside while wading through waist-deep muddy waters. They waited for the rescue team to evacuate them.

Officials can be seen bringing a rubber boat, which the family then boarded.

Typhoon Yagi killed at least 10 in Thailand while in neighbouring Vietnam at least 300 died and in Myanmar, 226 residents lost their lives.
