US: Northridge Truck Shears Hydrant Sends Water Shooting Into Power Lines
Northridge, Los Angeles, United States - September 20, 2024
A white truck crashed into a fire hydrant near 19100 W Parthenia Street, sending a massive stream of water into the sky that hit nearby power lines. The incident occurred around 2:22 a.m., prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities quickly shut down the area as they were working to stop the gushing water and address potential electrical hazards from the affected power lines. The flooding affected the nearby Park Parthenia Apartments, with water pouring onto the property.
Officials remained on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. It appears no one was injured.
