US: Lancaster Mid Air Plane Collision Leaves One Dead
Bakersfield, United States - September 22, 2024
09/22/2024 12:50 pm (GMT-0700) | LANCASTER, Calif. – Lancaster emergency services units, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded to a report of an airplane down in the area of Avenue G and 60th Street East.
Upon arrival, officials located a small aircraft that was involved in a mid-air collision with a second airplane. The second airplane was found at 55th Street, East and Avenue F-8. At least one of the pilots was pronounced deceased on the scene. The second pilot was transported to a local area hospital in unknown condition. No statement or information was released at the time of this report.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the collision.
