On the afternoon of September 17 in the Dajian Valley scenic area in Huangbaiyuan, a wild giant panda was attempting to climb over rocks to cross a river when it slipped and was swept away by the fast-moving water. However, the panda quickly managed to climb back to shore with great effort.

According to eyewitnesses, the panda was in the river channel near the entrance of Shuimofang Mountain Villa and was trying to cross the river by climbing over large rocks. Due to the slippery stones, the panda lost its footing during the climb and fell into the swift current, a moment that made onlooking tourists gasp in concern.

Fortunately, the panda remained calm and quickly regained its balance, getting up from the water and manoeuvring skilfully. It eventually climbed onto another rock and safely made its way to the riverbank, successfully crossing the river in the end.
