This is the adorable moment wildlife fans see three six-day-old white tiger cubs in Japan for the first time.

The tiny cubs, born on 12th September at Izu Animal Kingdom, in Higashiizu, were shown on video as they snuggled into their fleece basket while their exhausted mum took a break.

A second clip shows one of the cubs feeding with mum Shiroppu, Japanese for Syrup, while the others explore their enclosure.

Keepers say the triplets are all healthy and measure between 25 and 30 centimetres in length, and weigh between 900 and 1,600 grammes.

Mum Shiroppu was born at the animal park in 2014 and has raised five cubs so far.

The cubs' dad came to the zoo in 2012 and is now a father of eight.
None of the triplets have been named yet, and the zoo says it will ask the public for suggestions.
