A stunning goal and a near-tragedy unfolded simultaneously during a high school football tournament in Indonesia.
In a match between SMAN 5 Bukittinggi (SMALBi) and SMA S Pembangunan (SMAP Brotherhood), a beautifully executed goal saw the ball slip through the goalkeeper's legs.
As the crowd erupted in cheers, a young boy celebrating the nutmeg goal became entangled in the goal net, falling to the ground. Fortunately, he was unharmed and quickly joined his team in celebrating their 4-1 lead.
SMALBi went on to win the match 5-1, securing third place in the 'Bang Wako Cup 2024' tournament.
The incident took place at the Stadion Ateh Ngarai field in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
