A woman who spends every summer on the island where Netflix's 'the Perfect Couple' was filmed says it is a "mini paradise"."

Charlotte Drinkwater, 23, has spent every summer on the picturesque Massachusetts island of Nantucket since she was born.

Growing up she took the 287-mile trip every summer with her mum and siblings and spend the season there.

She said the island is "unique" due to its independent restaurants and pristine beaches."

Charlotte, a huge fan of the series, even says the characters on the show are "similar" to people she has met on the island."

Charlotte, who works in social media, from New York City, said: "It is such a special place. It is so beautiful and magical."

"It has such a unique and strong community."

"I definitely think that the characters are similar to people I have met on the island."

"There is a lot of wealth around."

"Especially from being a waitress here. I have a lot of experience with customers who might have a different attitude due to their wealth."

The hit Netflix show 'The Perfect Couple' is set in Nantucket and depicts a scenic town with untouched beaches and cobbled streets.

Charlotte said her favourite thing to do is spend time on the beach or go out to the independent bars with her friends.

She said: "I do pretty much the same thing every weekend. We love to go to the beach as much as we can."

"After the beach, we love to go to the brewery or the sand bar. I love to either have dinner with my friends on the beach or dinner with my family."

"On the weekend we go into different bars around the town."

"Working out there as a teenager I made so many friends."

"The girls I live with in New York, I met there and all my friends I have in my life met me in Nantucket."

"It is a beautiful place."

Despite the show's huge success - it had a whopping 20.3 million viewers in its first weekend - Charlotte hasn't seen an immediate rise in tourism.

She said: "I definitely think the rise in tourism will happen next summer."

"I know that places out there are using it as marketing doing a perfect couple hotel experience."

"I think that it will definitely impact tourism next summer."

Charlotte said Nantucket is "magical" due to its pristine beaches, cobblestone roads and hydrangeas."

She said: "It really is magical out there, it is so unique - there is nothing else like it out there."

"There are niche things that you won't find anywhere else. It has no chain restaurants, no stop lights and it had a great small town feel."

"It has cobblestone streets and pristine beaches. It is a mini paradise that feels like you're in a different world."

"The people there are the most special to me after meeting so many people there."
